Challenge
SolAps needed an Power Bank charging unit that could be configured, monitored, and controlled from a smartphone without requiring network infrastructure on-site. The charger also needed a central admin dashboard for fleet operators to track usage across multiple units.
Solution
We built a BLE-connected control board based on ESP32 for the charger unit, with a Flutter mobile app for user-facing control: start/stop charging, real-time status, and session history. A cloud backend aggregates telemetry from all units and powers an admin dashboard with usage analytics and remote configuration.
Outcome
Shipped to production with SolAps. The BLE approach eliminated the need for SIM cards or WiFi provisioning on the charger, simplifying deployment logistics significantly.
