How we work

Five steps from idea to production

A structured process that has shipped 50+ IoT products. No surprises, no handoffs to strangers, no going dark for six weeks.

Discovery

Define before we design

Every engagement starts with a structured discovery session. We map your use case, deployment environment, connectivity requirements, and regulatory constraints before touching a schematic. The output is a shared technical brief — MCU candidates, protocol choices, rough BOM cost, and a first-pass timeline. You will know what you are getting into before we spend your budget.

Deliverables

  • Technical requirements document
  • MCU and protocol shortlist
  • Rough BOM cost estimate
  • Project timeline and milestones
Step 02

Design

Schematics, layouts, and architecture — in parallel

Hardware and software design happen together, not sequentially. While the PCB schematic is being reviewed, the firmware architecture is being defined, the cloud data model is being designed, and the enclosure CAD is being sketched. Parallel design catches integration problems early — before they are expensive to fix. We use KiCad for PCB, SolidWorks for enclosures, and version-controlled repositories for firmware from day one.

Deliverables

  • Reviewed PCB schematic (KiCad)
  • PCB layout with DFM annotations
  • Firmware architecture document
  • Enclosure CAD sketches
  • Cloud data model and API contract
Step 03

Prototype

Real boards, real firmware, real data

We build working prototypes in-house with actual production-intent firmware, not placeholder code. The goal is to validate every assumption from the design phase against real hardware. Sensor accuracy, RF range, battery life, thermal performance, firmware stability under load — all tested before we move to production tooling. Iteration happens fast because hardware and firmware teams are in the same room.

Deliverables

  • Functional hardware prototype
  • Production-intent firmware build
  • Test report (RF, power, sensors)
  • Identified design revisions
  • Updated BOM and layout
Step 04

Production

DFM review to shipping box

Production starts with a formal design-for-manufacturing review. We check footprints, tolerances, component availability, and test point placement before sending Gerbers. In-house assembly in our Ahmedabad workshop handles SMD and through-hole, with automated optical inspection and functional testing on every board. We manage the component procurement, assembly, and quality control — you receive tested, labelled units ready to deploy.

Deliverables

  • DFM review report
  • Finalised production Gerbers
  • Assembled and tested units
  • QC test records
  • Firmware flashed and verified
Step 05

Support

Post-launch is not an afterthought

Shipping is not the finish line. We provide OTA firmware update infrastructure, monitoring dashboards, and documented escalation paths for field issues. Bug fixes, feature iterations, and second-run production are all part of how we work with long-term clients. You have access to the same engineers who built the product — not a separate support tier reading notes.

Deliverables

  • OTA update infrastructure
  • Monitoring dashboard setup
  • Documented escalation process
  • Firmware update roadmap
  • Second-run production support
